provider in the area of customized CRM. Hemalatha hails with a rich experience
of 2 decades in the vertical of Human Resources for revealed interesting
insights. Under the BizTechnoSys banner, Skill2win is the vertical which
focusses on the Coaching, Mentoring & Training. Skill2Win is built with the focus on building
skills which shall help the individual and the organization to
build/develop/transform skills which would provide a win-win situation all
around.
Hemalatha’s association started off with
providing Training in Cross Cultural Communication, Business Communication & Etiquettes. The team now also plans to cater to schools
and colleges as the needs are more prevalent there.
How does the
collaborative model work for the training community pan India?
Hemalatha says we are a group of people who are
like minded, think similarly with similar experiences and believe in the value
of sharing. They advocate the
philosophy of bringing in transformation through trust. a bigger purpose drives her and her team to bestow their
enriching experiences on this journey. They choose to do it. After every
session feedback is shared and very well received by all the team members. It
has been a constant learning for them with each session. The system is devised
in a method where cloning of the trainer is attained and this has helped them
to scale and reach out in different directions. Constant communication is one
of the key factors which has enabled the entire team to be trained.
What is the right
approach to lead a team of people?
Hemalatha says it is very important for a
leader to be “unbiased” when leading a team. Though it takes time to reach
there, each step when approached as a value helps. Absolutely no compromise on integrity. Maintaining transparency, having a
non-judgmental attitude are some of the ingredients of right approach.
Name few unacceptable behaviors
at workplace
·
Being
disloyal to the organization with unwanted comparisons
·

An example of a sign of disengaged
employee
Hemalatha says -
a)
Dis-alignment
with the company vision & mission.
If the individual’s goals are not aligned with the company vision &
mission then we have a disengaged employee.
b)
Dis-interest
to take on higher or larger responsibility and accountability.
c)
Too
many breaks - vacation - sick leaves.
Further, she
mentioned that she would make the decision of going ahead with the resignation
when the conversations thereon contain “ifs, buts….. because”. To elaborate if the
individual resigning mentions that ‘if’ they get something, ‘but’ it was given
to someone or ‘because’ someone did something … etc She says such employees should be “let-go”
when conditions creep in. It is a sure sign of being disengaged at work and
literally blackmailing the employee and which would continue in a bigger manner
if agreed.
