& Digital Marketing Expert | Mentor
An exciting and
a fun interview with Mr. Navneet from PageTraffic on different dimensions of
entrepreneurship is insightful for every individual on the path of learning.
PageTraffic
was incorporated at a time when Digital Marketing was not much heard of in
India in the year 2002. This 16 year old company was founded by CEO Navneet.
How did the idea
germinate?
Navneet says
when he was a student he could clearly see the crying need of people in Online
Marketing. He wanted to help the online community and with intent he started PageTraffic.
Till date, PageTraffic has catered to across 6000 clients from 36 countries and
has truly made a global impact.
What were the
challenges PageTraffic faced in its initial years?
Navneet
emphasizes the market was new and there was no formal course in area of digital
marketing then and it was challenging to hire talent. People wanted a more
fancy-title and did not want to be identified as Online Marketers. They
overcame this challenge by hiring freshers and gradually moulded them.
Few words about the
culture of your organization.
PageTraffic
survived in spite of initial hiccups and is now a thriving organization with a
team strength of 55 people. Navneet says they always believed in evolving,
learning and adapting. They “Dare to be different”.
3 People caring
practices with an example
1. Treat your organization as a fun
place
2. Let celebration be a part of culture
3. Keeping team spirit high.
PageTraffic has a “Happy Breakfast day” where
3 team members host a breakfast for Rs. 40 to the entire team with the
condition of no repeatability. There is also a voting practice after breakfast.
Navneet says it is interesting to note the behaviourial pattern even in a fun
activity like this. Some teams push the activity till the last minute, some are
involved right from beginning. The team spirit is very evident in such fun
activities which have become a celebration.
