Self-expression is the language of communication where we express ourselves and our thoughts. We are constantly expressing ourselves in the form of actions non-verbally and creating an aesthetic sense of communication.

Value your Hobbies

Hobbies are our excellent outlet for self-expression. Take a close look at the hobbies which you pursue. It reveals a lot about your inner expression. The hobbies which you chose for yourself which came from heart. They have a much deeper connect and meaning. These hobbies reveal inner secrets about yourself. For example I saw one of my friend who is into wild photography. He says going back to nature makes him feel like a child again. Though it has been 18 years since he pursued it even today the thought of going back to nature fills his eyes like child like wonder.

Layers of meaning

Explore layers of meaning which spill out. I have had the opportunity of interacting with few people for whom poetry flows. When they are extremely happy, sad or excited the entire emotions flows into short condensed flowery words. Watch the flow as emotions reach the peak and hit the lows. This is an excellent form of self-expression.

Courage to be different

Self-expressed individuals are the ones who have the courage to follow their heart and want to be different from the rest. So next time whenever you are in confusion about expressing yourself, do not worry. Just go ahead and express how you feel. At the most, you might get laughed about at for having expressed your flow of thoughts. Just look at the laughing faces and join them and have a good laugh too with the people who laughed at you. At least you have made the mark of bringing a laugh or a smile which is one of the most challenging things to do in life.

I really admire people who just go out of their way and express their ideas and feelings in spite of being rejected several. These are the persons who value themselves so much. This is a value worth pursuing.
